Waddell Media to make drama out of Scapegoat

ScapegoatWaddell Media are currently working on a new drama. The production, called Scapegoat, is a real life drama based on the murder of Patricia Curran, a judge’s daughter, in County Antrim in November 1952 and the subsequent wrongful conviction of a young Scottish airman Iain Hay Gordon.

If found guilty, Gordon will hang, but if he is proved insane, he will be spared the rope. Scapegoat follows the case through the eyes of Rossiter Lewis a psychiatrist hired by the defence team to examine Gordon and give evidence of his “insanity.” Initially he believes that Gordon is guilty but as he delves deeper in to the facts he realises that Gordon is being used as part of a wider cover-up involving the police, the justice system and the Unionist establishment.

Lewis has a choice. If he stands by the facts, Gordon will hang. But if he declares Gordon insane, he can save the airman’s life.
