The Getaways team have been awarded the Grand Prix at Croatia's Zlatna Penkala (Golden Pen) Awards. The Golden Pen is awarded each year for the best travel journalism about Croatia.

The programme was presented by Joe Lindsay and Emma-Louise Johnston, directed and series produced by Maggi Gibson and Executive Produced by Jannine Waddell.

Maggi Gibson (winner of the Golden Pen Grand Prix for TV and Radio) and Milan Krupcik (winner of the Golden Pen Grand Prix for printed media).
